What are Softcover Books?
At Printbooks, softcover books are any books bound with a flexible, lightweight paper or cardstock cover. The covers add a professional, durable protection to any book project.
Which Binds can you softcover?
We can softcover all our bind types. So no matter if you want saddle stitch, pefect bound, spiral, wiro or section sewn we have the pefect covers for your next book project.
What GSM is recommended for covers?
Softcover books work well with a wide range of internal and cover stocks. For the pages, smooth or uncoated papers provide easy readability, while for covers, heavier papers or cardstocks add durability and a polished finish. Coated, uncoated, and recycled stocks can all be used depending on the look and feel you want for your book.
Can you do Custom sizes?
We can wiro bind books in any custom sizes, ranging from A6 to A4 on the long edge or up to A3 on the short edge (landscape).
What page counts can you do?
Our smallest bind is 6mm allow for ex page to be bound, and we go upto 80mm allowing for 800 pages to be punched and bound.
